Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

Had an incredible experience at C&S! Huge shoutout to Luis for crafting a 10/10 espresso martini — it was absolutely perfect. The entire team is top-notch, and I always love being greeted by Gage at the door with a warm welcome. The service here is always impeccable. As for the food, the red snapper was a standout — definitely a must-try! Overall, a fantastic place with amazing people and great vibes. Can't wait to return!

NYE 2024 was an excellent way to bring in 2025. Service was perfect, food incredible, and ambiance was as good as it always is. It's a beautiful restaurant.

This was my first time at this location. And it held up to all the standards of all the other restaurants. Food was fabulous. Service impeccable atmosphere was wonderful. Definitely will return.

As always the food was exceptional. My family has been chargrilled oyster lovers for a long time and C & S never disappoints. Dayvion shared his love and knowledge of great food/wine and provided excellent service to our group.

Food was good. Not my best experience there. Really think they should have non pork options in this day and age. Several dishes I would have love to try but premade dishes did not allow. At the prices they are asking, chef should be able to accommodate. Our server was delightful. I have taken people there several times, but I will be trying other places in the neighborhood. These days a name is just not enough for a 250 dollar dinner. I give the a c plus.

The experience was phenomenal. Our server, Dayvion, was very attentive and friendly. He made suggestions and made sure our overall dining experience was amazing. The oysters are 10/10!! The French toast was a hit!! I will definitely be back!
