Giles Smith, co-founder of the iconic Secretsundaze, is a DJ and tastemaker renowned for his deep and soulful approach to house music. A true selector with an ear for timeless grooves, Giles has spent decades shaping the underground sound of London and beyond, delivering sets filled with warmth and rhythm. He joins us in Cafe 1001 alongside our wonderful resident DJ Megan Leo for a special late night vinyl-led session. Expect house, balearia, deep cuts and more, all played out on our custom hi-fi soundsystem. We will be going until 2am for this one, DJs starting at 7pm. Loft Lates is back - our favorite in depth late night vinyl party in Cafe 1001. Growing up surrounded by Latin music, Daisybelle developed a deep appreciation for diverse musical genres. Her style is uplifting, groovy and heavily influenced by soulful sounds, including disco, soul, funk, Latin, Balearic, and house. Joining Daisybelle on the lineup we have Cosmo Sofi, a London-based Uruguayan DJ, radio host, and designer. Her eclectic style spans genres such as jazz, soul, funk, disco, house, and various world music traditions. Last but certainly not least, Puerto Rican guest selector Tutti Serrano completes the lineup. With a keen ear for crafting dynamic house music sets, we're thrilled to welcome her to the booth. The LP is our monthly vinyl-led deep dive into an artist of selection at Cafe 1001, where we play out their entire discography, or as much of it as we can pack into five hours, on our beautiful hi-fi system. Which better artist to kick off March, than Ryuichi Sakamoto? One of the most prolific and groundbreaking artists of all time, his sound moved over the years from electro and hip hop to classical and ambient; truly no limit to the scope of his sound, or his generational influence. We will be diving into his wonderful world of sounds on March 27th, for five hours of vinyl explorations. Pair that with a couple of our signature cocktails and dare we say it, that's the perfect night.
