We were celebrating our oldest granddaughter’s 32nd Bday. We were a party of 5. Our wait to be seated was short, compared to previous visits. We had 6pm reservations and were seated at 6:15. We brought our own wine and the waiter graciously opened the bottles poured the 1st glasses. We ordered escargot for the table and our entrees were: beef Wellington special, blacked salmon, and 2 orders of steak au poivre. We also had a caesar salad and 2 lobster bisques. My Wellington was just OK. The meat had no flavor. My husband loved his salad and salmon. He cleaned both plates. The lobster bisques were delicious. The escargot was good, but the bread was too crusty. Hard to sop up the yummy garlic sauce. The steak au poivre was a little over cooked. It looked like they presliced it and cooked one side and left the other side less cooked. Service was excellent. They brought my granddaughter a yummy warm flourless slice of cake with raspberry coulee and whipped cream. We were full and had to-go boxes but we found room to finish that. We will be back. We have been enjoying Cafe Bizou since the 1990’s, when they were a little place in Sherman Oaks. We loved the Pasadena location best. But we travel the extra miles to Agoura.
