With roots tracing back to the 1970s, The Chalkboard brings its modern bistro-style concept to Oklahoma City, offering American fare and artisanal cocktails. Don't miss the chance to savor our legendary Beef Wellington, prepared according to the original recipe that has stood the test of time.

The Chalkboard is located in Oklahoma City's Midtown District, open 365 days a year. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. We can accommodate most dietary needs. All guests of The Chalkboard can take advantage of complimentary valet-service at the hotel entrance.

    We had a decent meal. The food was pretty good; however, my dates plate was piping hot and my plate was luke warm at best. It took an extremely long time for both our appetizer and dinnner plates to be served. The craft cocktails were very good. The service was just ok - I can't really complain, but I was not impressed.

    Given it is so close to Christmas, with many in a very festive mode, the space was a little less quiet than we prefer. However, the food, service and evening as a whole was great!

    Crab cakes were over done. LOUD in there. It’s fairly small and open. Not sure who it’s so terribly loud.

    This was our first visit to the Chalkboard. We were craving Beef Wellington and we were not disappointed. The Welly was a bit on the small side but very flavorful. The grilled asparagus was excellent. The creamy orzo was good, but a nice mushroom risotto would have made the meal perfect. Service was outstanding, as was the ambiance We will return for sure.

    We had a very enjoyable evening. My wife had the gnocchi and loved it. Very rich and flavorful. Our guests had the sole and the short ribs, and both commented on how good they were. I had the halibut and while ok, it was not exceptional. We shared the chocolate Carmel cake and it was delicious. Rachel, our server was a delight. She was knowledgeable and very funny. She is a real addition to the staff. It was a wonderful evening and I would definitely recommend. My only quibble would be the wine mark up. I know this is a big profit point for restaurants, but I contend you would sell more if you reduced the multiple.

    My first experience with Beef Wellington was The Chalkboard in Tulsa. This one was just as amazing and absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. The service, the food, and the drinks were top notch.

    When we walked in it smelled like fish. Stayed that way the whole time. Good food but Tulsa location is better.
