   Steve and his team have done it again! Just across the street from the Black Whale, Candela Cucina has arrived, bringing an upscale Italian dining experience to the neighborhood. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a beautifully designed space, warm and welcoming staff, and an inviting ambience that makes you want to settle in for a long, leisurely meal. The menu does not disappoint—starting with the standout meatball appetizer served over creamy polenta, an absolute must-try. Candela Cucina is a charming addition to the area, and you truly have to experience it for yourself! News flash: we enjoyed the Portofino salad, which was delicious and Brittany, our server, was outstanding, what a nice way to enjoy an afternoon in a beautiful setting!

   This is my first time back since it was Carmines & truly had a great experience. The decor really made everything come together. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing, the dessert was amazing, & our waitress was the best. The only thing I wasn’t not a fan of was the seating tables very close together but it didn’t change our experience nonetheless. Definitely recommend for a date night or a get together with friends!

   Wonderful experience with Service and quality of food. The tables were a bit close together, which was difficult to get up going to the bathroom without having my backside so close to someone else’s table.

   Excellent. Beautiful decor. Great service and excellent food. Very loud due to crowd noise, but I guess that is a good sign for a business.

   Service is excellent! Food is good. We’ve been there twice and I find the food very salty. The Bolognese is good but, penne isn’t the right vessel as lots of meat isn’t properly caught by this pasta.

   This was our first time at the newly renovated restaurant so we noticed many changes in the decor and table layout. Very attractive and positive improvements, I’d say. Our server, Jordan, was professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. He assisted us in the wine selection and helped us to a winner. Our appetizer was absolutely delicious and my spouse/I shared it—whipped Ricotta cheese with pistachio pesto and pear, along with focaccia bread. She had a swordfish entree…excellent, if not a touch overcooked. I had a special item-Wild Boar chop with endive, small onions and a delicious grain whose name escapes me. Very tasty and both entrees were large so we took home food to enjoy. No room for dessert… We were even provided with complimentary limoncello since our entrees took extra time for preparation! Overall, a wonderful meal on a cold and blustery evening. I recommend a visit soon.
