We were in Seville for nine days and this was our last night. This was the first really poor experience we had in Seville. In short, arrived at 8:15 pm to a restaurant clearly having problems keeping up with orders. No bread, olives, anything at the beginning. First appetiser came out at 9:10 pm but was for my friend as I do not eat meat. Second appetiser came out at 9:25 pm. The mains came out at 9:40 pm, almost 1.5 hr after arrival.
My salad was excellent, and the two appetisers were very good. My friend had fish which was a tad dry and overcooked. Multiple things that we tried to order at the very beginning, were not available. Then two of the items that we did order, they came back to us an hour later and told us we’re no longer available.
We recognise that the restaurant was busy, but had made a reservation. If they cannot handle the tables they have, then let us know at the beginning. We were ready to walk out, when the mains finally came. Multiple other tables did walk out. I have never seen a restaurant go into meltdown. This certainly was not the fault of the servers who were trying their best to keep up with things. Running out of food certainly did not help.
Ambience was so so, as the noise was very loud. This restaurant had fairly good food quality, but a professionalism and service that were very poor. They need a good manager.
Some other notes. It took 12 minutes after we sat at our reserved table for them to clear off of the table over a dozen dirty glasses and plates. At no time were there any apologies to anybody about food delays, and food going off the menu. There is no sign at the entrance of the restaurant to please wait to be seated. This meant multiple people coming all the way to the back of the restaurant to enquire as to availability. This created a constant flow of people in and out of the restaurant past our table.
I would say this is my worst experience on OpenTable restaurants, and I have probably done over 100.
