Capo is one of those places that we go to a lot because it’s consistently good. The food, service and pricing are all amazing. Usually. We attended last night for New Year’s Eve dinner with friends. Our waiter was not very attentive. A dinner that should’ve been about 2 hours, ran to 3. Primarily due to server inattention. Drinks frequently ran dry-getting his attention for drink orders and even water was extremely difficult, meals came out cold but could not get his attention to advise of same, he was generally not around to flag down. It also took us over 35 minutes to get his attention for the bill! We just couldn’t find him anywhere-he’d disappear for huge chunks of time ( 20mins) and when he was around, he wouldn’t check in or even make eye contact. There was a major error on the menu for dessert. We ordered the chocolate torte with ALMONDS. It came out with HAZELNUTS, which my husband is severely allergic to. When I brought this to the waiter’s attention, he said he’d bring it to the attention of the kitchen to correct the typo. No concern for the fact that this could cause anaphylaxis at our table. And he left it at the table, expecting it to be eaten, which we didn’t. And we paid for it too. I really don’t know what happened last night but we were really disappointed with Capo.

If there are going to be high (and mandatory) service charges, please have a server on top of the table.

Food and service is always top notch here. I had the Risotto and added scallops.. delish! It's a big portion tho, so good easy on those appies!
