We were excited to go to Caramella as we had heard such great things about it. We had made a reservation, but when we got there, they weren’t able to seat us for a little while. So we waited.
When she finally brought us into the dining room it was more than half empty. Not sure why it took so long to get a seat? And then with this half empty dining room, the hostess seated us directly next to the door at a tiny table when there were clearly booths and nicer seats available. We asked to move & which she did finally move us, but the whole procedure took a long time and was completely unnecessary.
The food is very expensive as expected for Vegas. Is it worth the expense? I’m not sure? We had the Caesar salad, which was surprisingly good and the eggplant appetizer. Also good. The spicy pasta was also decent , but not quite as good as I’ve had it other places.
The waiter and service staff seem fine. But the whole room just had a strange vibe. It was very weird that the restaurant was more than half empty. I didn’t quite understand why? Also the vibes in general at this place just seems strange. Maybe it’s the ghost of Hotels past? lol . I don’t know but the energy just seemed a little off. It was super quiet in there, but not in a good way. Usually when we’re in Vegas, we expect a little bit more of life in our restaurants. Especially ones that are supposed to be so popular
So overall, the food was pretty good, the price extraordinarily high, the atmosphere strange. Not sure if we would go back .
