   We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Upscale and modern ambience. Outstanding steaks; we had a ribeye and a NY strip with rice and mash as sides. The children’s churrasco was also fantastic and a very generous portion. We had a chocolate cake for dessert that was both rich and light. Highly recommended.

   We had an incredible dinner at Carnes last Friday! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. To start, my wife and I had Negronis, followed by an Old Fashioned for me and the house red wine for her—both excellent choices. For our appetizer, we had the Natalio (Argentinian Provoleta, fresh mango sauce, and Chorizo Bombón). The cheese and sauce were so good that we went rogue and started dipping our bread in it—absolutely delicious! For the main course, I had the ribeye (well-done), and my wife had the Costillas de Cordero (medium-well). Both were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. To finish, we had Rogel for dessert, which was the perfect sweet touch to an already fantastic meal. The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and our server, Diego, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only small downside was the lack of dedicated parking, but honestly, the food and experience made up for it. Overall, Carnes delivered an amazing dining experience, and we’d highly recommend it to any steak lover!

   This place was awesome, we went for a bachelor party and the service was fantastic. The porterhouse and the tomahawk steaks were delicious. Would recommend this place for a fun night out in San Juan!

   We went on Vday not knowing the menu was a fixed menu. Honestly felt like that should’ve been mentioned or advertised. When we arrived and was seated we were not acknowledge for over 10 mins! No water, or drinks was offered. They brought our appetizers and still no drinks were giving. I had to ask about it for them to acknowledge the facts that we had no drinks. Our last straw was when our waiter brought our steak and told us “ we have no steak knifes” and walked off. Another 10 mins passed so we decided to ask another waiter for knifes and he brought it with no hesitation! Our steak was cold tasted horrible sorry to say so we told them we’re leaving.

   We went for San Valentine. There was a prix fixed menu. Chose the steak hoping that it would be good being a steakhouse but meat quality was poor. It was a big piece of meat but hard and chewy, not tender as expected. Would have preferred a smaller portion of a high quality steak cut and without any sauce or sauce served on the side in case you don’t like it. Service lacked attention. Too expensive for the quality of food and service received. Probably won’t come back.

    I had an awesome night. Great food, the Natalio and churrasco argentino was amazing. The service was excellent and the chef even came to the table to check on us. Great place, definitely worth the shot!!!
