Carpe Diem offers a sophisticated, yet, casual dining experience in the heart of downtown Napa. Our welcoming, enthusiastic staff and ever-changing menu bring uniqueness to the table. Our wines by the glass and family share-plate style menu will entice you to try a variety of items. Come “Seize the Day” at Carpe Diem. No matter your style, you’ll fall in love with our seasonal ingredients that we have searched near and far to find and our wine, beer and hand-crafted cocktail menu is sure to please any palate.

We are delighted to introduce our new cocktail lounge as an additional dining area. When making reservations, please note your preference for lounge or main dining room. Thank you and we look forward to serving you soon!

    NOTE*** The three-course menu is $65 per person. A $40 payment will be collected at the restaurant, with your $25 prepayment applied as a deposit. A 20% gratuity is required. Indulge in a three-course dining experience featuring your choice of each course. Start with Carpe Salad, Caesar Salad, or Dungeness Crab Arancini. For your entrée, enjoy Fillet of Salmon, 24-Hour Braised Short Rib, Four-Cheese Ravioli, Butternut Squash Winter Risotto, or Chicken Parmesan. Finish with a choice of Rum Raisin Bread Pudding or New York Cheesecake.

    What a great place if you want good drinks and great food. The mussels were really delicious. The service was wonderful……there when you wanted her……not there when you didn’t. This is one of my very favorite restaurants in Napa!

    What an amazing and unforgettable dinner experience!! 😍 The mister and I wanted to find a nice romantic place to celebrate our anniversary. We were intrigued by the dinner menu at Carpe Diem, and decided to check them out. As soon as we entered, we were instantly greeted by Maggie, who was also our main hostess/server. She listed the house specials, and while we were deciding on what to have for dinner, she brought some bubbly to set the mood for our anniversary. For starters, we had a glass of Malbec, and the Dungeness Crab Arancini. The mister settled on the Chicken Parmesan, while I decided to try their Chef’s Special - Surf & Turf: Shrimp and Filet Mignon in demi glaze with green beans and mashed potatoes. Wow!! Talk about flavor explosion. 😵 EVERY THING was perfectly prepared, from the plating to the pairing of sauces for the sides and entrees. (Compliments to the chefs who prepared our meals!!!) As if that wasn’t enough, we ended the night with the house special: carrot cake with caramel glaze and vanilla ice cream, and Maggie brought us a couple of celebratory espresso martinis to go with the dessert. This has definitely been one of the BEST anniversary celebrations we’ve had!! Thank you Carpe Diem for making it memorable!! We can’t rave enough about this place, and can’t wait to return… to ‘seize the day’!!! No reason/special occasion needed.

    Stopped here after wine tasting and to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the food was excellent! I had the duck and she had the halibut. The fennel tarragon sauce on the halibut was amazing! We also had the burrata appetizer and it too was incredible. We highly recommend this place.

    Great cocktails! I had a sidecar, my wife had a blueberry mezcal cocktail. We had the pulpo appetizer and it was prepared perfectly. The Caesar salad was excellent. Service was very attentive. Nice selection of wines by the glass. The chicken parmigiana and short ribs were delicious.

    We enjoyed the Locals Meal last night, which is available every Tuesday and Wednesday evening. It was delicious, and a great value. And the service was spectacular! I would highly recommend Carpe Diem, and we will be back.
