Carpe Diem offers a sophisticated, yet, casual dining experience in the heart of downtown Napa. Our welcoming, enthusiastic staff and ever-changing menu bring uniqueness to the table. Our wines by the glass and family share-plate style menu will entice you to try a variety of items. Come “Seize the Day” at Carpe Diem. No matter your style, you’ll fall in love with our seasonal ingredients that we have searched near and far to find and our wine, beer and hand-crafted cocktail menu is sure to please any palate.

    NOTE*** The 3-course menu is $85 per person. A $60 payment will be collected at the restaurant, with your $25 prepayment applied as a deposit. A 20% gratuity is required. Indulge in a three-course dining experience featuring your choice of each course. Start with Mixed Greens with candied pistachios, Caesar Salad, or Dungeness Crab Arancini. For your entrée, enjoy Linguine Pomodoro with fresh herbs, Fillet of Salmon with Lemon Caper Butter, 24-Hour Braised Short Rib with creamy risotto, Four-Cheese Ravioli, or the Carpe Vegan Plate. Finish with a family-style selection of house-made desserts.

Savor a four-course dining experience with your choice of each course. Start with Bufala Mozzarella Caprese, Stuffed Eggplant Rollatini, Shrimp Cocktail, or Dungeness Crab Arancini. Enjoy a fresh Carpe Salad or classic Caesar Salad. For your entrée, select from Fillet of Branzino with Lemon Caper Butter, Steak au Poivre with Cabernet Demi-Glace, Mushroom Risotto, Four-Cheese Ravioli, or Chicken Parmesan. Conclude your meal with a family-style assortment of house-made desserts.

    We had the pleasure of dining at Carpe Diem Napa during our trip to Napa Valley, and it was so incredible we couldn’t resist going back a second time before heading home! The food was absolutely phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired with their amazing wine selection. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with impeccable service that made us feel so welcomed. From start to finish, every detail of our experience was outstanding. If you’re in Napa Valley, Carpe Diem Napa is a must-visit—you won’t be disappointed!

    Overall everything was really lovely! The restaurant is in a nice downtown location (we are locals). Plenty of free ways to park and easy to find.  I found the seating is comfortable, tho as a 5’10” woman in a booth I felt like a child, the seats did sink me a bit low. Maybe shore that up a bit. :) One note, we were sitting by the door that goes to the restroom on a cold night is quite breezy and cold. The food was AH MAYZING!!!! We had Cesar salad, real dressing and anchovies- the real deal, lamb shank was to die for melted off the bone, carrots not over. Poked, butter melted over, really good!! Also had scallops, with lobster sauce husband loved it!! Desert plentiful in choice, cappuccino was bitter but I asked for heavy cream and that smoothed it out, sometimes it’s just your pallet. The crab appetizers were obviously not fresh rather frozen not tasty, so would pass on those. Couple of things I would note to the restaurant … One thing is aesthetics , I know there’s might not be a budget for flowers. You had a lot of fake big fake flowers around and also on the table. You might want to make the exception and put a nice single (real) rose on the table. It really classes up the joint. Another note to the staff, the bus girl hovered around while I was eating and made me feel like she was watching me eat, and kept asking me if I was done?? (to clear my plate) I wasn’t done. I like to put my knife and fork down, have a conversation drink some wine and then eat again. Also she cleared my husband‘s plate before I was finished eating, which really makes one feel rushed. I’m also European so that is not something we do in the EU it is typically an American thing. So just a thought to allow people at the table to finish their meals before you clear the table :) “Carpe Diem”, will allow people to relax and enjoy fantastic meals with a beautiful single rose in a romantically lit restaurant by the Napa River Xox

    WOW, what an experience! 5 Stars all around. Amazing staff, attention to detail, met the owner and the GM. They wanted to check in with the table to see how everything was. Grilled octopus was a showstopper, risotto outstanding! Can't recommend this establishment enough!!! Great Job, Carpe Diem!

    We were a large group of 12 The staff was great all around. Suggestions around appetizers and drinks. Timing of the meal. They managed table preferences perfectly. The filet and the duck were a hit. We finished with beignets and espresso martinis.

    Ate in the bar area which we loved. Met the owners and the bartender, who made us feel like VIPs and old friends. This is a wonderful, caring place with hard-working, skilled and talented people. Come early for the VERY well-priced happy hour and chef’s Wednesday tasting menu. Every morsel of food was well-prepared and delicious. We are definitely going back. Please support this place!
