Named one of Austin Monthly's 2024 Best New Restaurants, Casa Bianca is a full service restaurant and cocktail bar with a focus on high quality seafood, handmade pastas, and local ingredients. Executive Chef/Owner Joseph Zoccoli's maximalist take on contemporary Italian-American cuisine presents a new and exciting addition to the Austin culinary landscape. While the flavors and names of Chef Zoccoli's dishes come from his family’s origin in Italy, the forms and techniques he employs are informed by a decade of experience cooking Japanese cuisine.

Sporting Bauhaus and Art Deco influenced interior design and centrally located just east of Downtown Austin, Casa Bianca offers reservations for bar, dining room, and al fresco patio dining.

The highlight of our meal was the focaccia! We had the veggie risotto and mushroom lasagna and both were fine but not really flavorful. Another diner mentioned it looked like they had been left to dry out and I wish I would have read that before we ate there! I think the high ratings are for the ambience because this is nowhere close to the other top Italian restaurants like Red Ash, Juniper or Intero.

I’m embarrassed that I chose this place for a group dinner out. The only outstanding part of the night was the Cesar salad. Everything else ranged from fine enough to inedible. The cocktails were fine, not great. The mushroom lasagna was made with noodles so tough they were hard to cut and the filling was super unappetizing. It looked and tasted like it had been in the fridge for a few days drying out. Three people at our table had the cavatelli and each portion tasted different. One had giant chunks of something that tasted like hazelnut. It was bitter and one accidental bite ruined the taste of any further bites. The tuna cannoli was good but definitely not worth $6 per bite. The focaccia was fine but dry for focaccia. Overall this place is a miss.

An amazing experience at Casa Bianca. Richie, our server, was attentive and personable, providing us with excellent suggestions. The handmade pasta was incredible, especially the cannelloni. Each dish showcased the care and passion in its preparation. The cocktails were unique and well-curated, along with an incredible selection of Italian wines, which is a rare find. The ambiance was ideal for a romantic evening. Highly recommend for a special night out.

Casa Bianca is my new favorite restaurant in town, hands down. The food here was absolutely delicious. Every dish we tried was so flavorful and bold yet balanced at the same time. If I had to choose, my favorite dishes would be the oysters with chili oil, branzino, fried chicken, handmade pastas, and mille-feuille. Everything tasted so fresh, and according to my server (who was so sweet and knowledgeable btw), they source most of their ingredients from local farms and suppliers. Now, here’s the best part: the cocktails. If you enjoy negronis and martinis like me, this is the place. I don’t think another restaurant in town comes close to having as excellent a cocktail program. I’m still dreaming of the Two-Way Mirror (one of their house negronis). Honestly though, pick any cocktail, you can’t go wrong. And to top it all off, this place is so cute, with lots of beautiful plants, lovely handmade ceramics, and charming art. From the moment we walked in, I knew we were in for a treat!
