We arrived Saturday night and it was terribly hot upstairs with the doors being open and shut the entire time during our meal. The food was sub par at best. I have dined at Mexican restaurants all over the country and this is one I would never return to. Overpriced, ridiculous for the quality. What made me the most upset is that the waiter added $4.50 per PERSON for chips and salsa at our table, when only 2 people ordered chips and salsa ( which only includes 3 round chips). I overheard that they had done the same to another party at the table across from us and they were upset as well. To me, this is a scam attempted to collect an additional 40-50$ per table, we caught it and they adjusted our bill but for a night out celebrating a bride-to-be the experience at the establishment left us hungry, hot, and disappointed as we left.

After being told I didn't have a reservation in file, I was informed that Casa Maya no longer gets or accepts reservations from OpenTable. "Luckily" there was open seating and they were able to seat us. However, the food is drastically overpriced for the quality. $10 for a side sauce sized guacamole in desperate need of salt and lime is beyond ridiculous. My steak was extremely overlooked, and thin even by flat steak standards. There was nothing particularly enjoyable about this meal and I was extremely disappointed in my dinner. Would NOT recommend.

Very disappointing based on the high reviews this establishment has received. We arrived and was not greeted by the hostess for a good 10 minutes. She was very unfriendly and stated that she will be seating the guests who were on a waiting list before us. I then reminded her that I have a reservation. She stated their iPad was not working so they would not be honoring any opentable reservations. Once seated, we were not greeted or acknowledged by a waiter for 25 minutes. Tables that were seated after us were waited on before us. Overall, this was a horrible experience and would not recommend this restaurant.

We have been to Casa Maya many times. The service has never been excellent, but this visit was not as good as the last time. The water was delivered but our server never came back for the drink order for quite a while, then after ordering the drinks they were not delivered together and came out after the appetizers. The food did not seem as good to me as last time we dined with them either...the fajitas were watery. All in all, we left saying we would not go back.

This was our second time visiting Casa Maya. We were very excited to share this find with friends. We sat outside and it was warm so we ordered delicious margaritas that took quite a while to arrive to our table. Food was good, service was very poor, each drink we ordered took longer and longer to arrive. Our waitress was dripping with sweat throughout our entire meal. She keep wiping the sweat with her hand and wiping it on her apron or pants. She seemed like she was out of it when she took our order. Each time we ordered a drink she took out her note pad and kept a tally. When our bills came each couple had been rang up for too many drinks. We would have gladly enjoyed them if she would have brought them to us. When questioned about it she blamed the bartender? He is not the one entering the drinks into the system...duh.

The food here is very good and the wait staff does a nice job. Service, however, was slow. A hour passed between the time of our reservation and when our food was served.

Very attentive weight staff and owner. Nice outdoor, shaded seating. Great Spanish breakfast/brunch.
