Cassis Bistro is a cozy gem offering award-wining elevated French cuisine and inventive cocktails. Founded by Gilles Brassart and his wife Andrea, our bistro brings the authentic flavours of Provence to Calgary. The menu, curated by Executive Chef/Partner Dominique Moussu, features dishes like house-made ravioli, steak frites, wild salmon, and duck confit, all crafted with the freshest local ingredients.

The food was just OK. My wife and I were quite disappointed, particularly for a pre-set menu. The wine pairing was very nice (I didn't have any, but my wife really enjoyed all four, especially the one pair with the duck entree). However, the best thing we were served was the Garlic Snail pastry starter. We found the soup quite bland, and while the duck was cooked nicely, and the entire entree was seasoned well, it wasn't anything spectacular. It was a nice meal, but I was expecting better than nice. Especially for the price.

I found the value to be elusive. Had the duck that was very tough. Small things like a simple glass of ginger ale cost about six bucks and it was served in a small whiskey glass half full of ice and 2/3 full. Won’t go back

We love Cassis! Our favourite restaurant in Calgary by far! Full house on Valentines Day, but food was outstanding, as usual!

The Food and Experience were excellent. What way above and beyond was that I or somebody had made a mistake. I believed that my reservation was for Saturday evening. It had been written up as Sunday night. The staff member doing the seating just had us take a place at the bar while she found a table for us. Spectacular, fantastic, wonderful. Besides that the food was wonderful. Thank you, Thank you

Was good. You tell with the valentine’s special it was a different vibe but the food was still amazing. Would 100% go away not during a peak holiday or set menu to see how it is.

Fun, cozy bistro vibe. There were some service difficulties - I wonder if they were understaffed, the servers were clearly doing their best but they were run off their feet. Food was very good as usual, except for the Ile Flottante which was disappointing. (The "Island" was lovely but it was by no means "floating", just sitting in a very shallow puddle).

It was my birthday, and so I chose my favorite restaurant - Cassis, and it did not disappoint. Perfect crab croquettes (light, crispy, flavorful), beet salad - the best in the city - was perfect. Every bite was light and fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed the special fish dish which I chose because my previous favorite - the butternut squash ravioli - was off the menu. The chocolate mousse dessert was superb and a perfect way to end the night; it’s the stuff chocolate dreams are made of. Thank you for a consistently magnificent dining experience!

Food was delicious! Ambience was charming. We would have liked to have a server that knew and had tasted the menu. We also missed having someone talk to us about the wine list. It was a missed opportunity. We love good wine. We don’t drink a lot of French wine so having the owner or someone knowledgeable talk to us about the wine list is what we had expected.
