At The Castle View Restaurant, we cook the best traditional ingredients as simply as possible, letting the quality of the produce and the magnificent views across the castle’s moat speak for themselves.

We have changed the way we operate to ensure a safe and enjoying visit with all new government guidelines in place.

Please note we do not accept lunch bookings.

Parking details
The Broomfield Road entrance from the A20 is for Evening Dining Only. Located just off Junction 8 of the M20 and only one hour’s drive from London. Free parking is available.
Public transit
By Train Southeastern runs frequent train services to and from Bearsted Station. Taxis are also occasionally available. However, if you are bringing a bicycle on the train, or fancy a three mile walk, you may prefer to use Hollingbourne Station which is closer.

A lovely experience! The food, service, restaurant and ambiance was very good. The obvious thing is the cost of the food which just seemed a bit pricey

The choice on the menu was very good,lots of interesting dishes to try.Tandoori brochette was delicious. Portion size was generous. Perhaps a little expensive but for a special occasion definitely worth it.Stunning view of the castle.Staff were attentive and friendly. I would of liked the background music slightly louder,it felt very quiet when other guests were not talking.Overall it was a wonderful experience.Also enjoyed a breakfast the following morning.Highly recommend. Amazing choice of menu. Exceptional full English buffet.

The meal we ordered for our family was decidedly average, much like most pre-prepped pub food. All five plates arrived luke warm to the table, which we returned to the kitchen. Service was more typical of untrained pub service, i.e. drinks should be handled by the stem or by the lower half of the glass, not fingered by the rim. The furniture is cheap and suitably uncomfortable to deter guests from over staying their welcome, namely, cheap bent-wood bistro chairs and too narrow, veneered tables, more suited for a transport caff than a restaurant. About 30% over priced.

The food was terrible, four of us ordered different meals and not one was edible. Calamari consisted of 4 small items that looked like pork scratchings. The pork belly was inedible. The only thing good about the meal was the selection of wine. The staff were doing their best although a couple of them looked like they didn’t want to be there. We understand that a new catering company has taken over and for us it just didn’t work at all. It was expensive and because it was not edible we won’t be going there again. We did not send our food back because we didn’t want to spoil our evening.

We regularly visit the Castle View restaurant and have never been disappointed with the relaxed ambience, efficiency and politeness of staff and outstanding quality of food.

All very lovely, view outstanding.....amazing Christmas Decorations and the food was very tasty, chic and impressive, but there was no one in the restaurant, it was very quiet, almost too quiet.

Had a great evening meal after seeing the lights. Food was really well presented and enough choice for all. Did not take dessert as it’s not our thing but they looked great. Wine was nice but felt slightly over priced. Atmosphere was nice as it’s decorated for Christmas. Would definitely eat here again.
