The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Great place to take pics and video. Service was ok but definitely could've been better. I celebrated my 42nd birthday with a group of girlfriends and we were disappointed in our waiter and the serving portions. Be ready to pay a hefty price for small portions. And the added gratuity??? Let's just say our waiter got away with robbery with his tip. His service certainly didn't match the tip. We waited so long for drinks and meals, never got refills on any water, and he just wasn't very welcoming. Maybe if we had a different waiter, our experience would've been better.

Oh My! It was so wonderful, we came in town from a different state and just from top to bottom, very well worth it since we walked through the door. The restaurant was even able to accommodate my special request and make the night even better worth while. Definitely 10 out of 10.

It was my first time and I'm sure it won't be the last. I loved the place, the decor is beautiful, the staff is very attentive and the food is delicious. My friend and I ordered pasta with shrimp and lobster. Wow, highly recommended.

The experience was disappointing. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, then the waitress was rude and rushed, saying we had only 10 minutes to order. She spoke to the manager and never returned. Another server came without explanation. The food was cold, drinks weak, and dessert overly sweet. Unpleasant Christmas dinner.

Wow! What an amazing experience we had as first timers here! The atmosphere is simply amazing with great tasting food and drinks. The live violinist made it an even more unique experience! We will surely be back!

The best Christmas Eve ever!!! A little bit of a seating glitch at first… but the excellent staff made everything right and we all had a fabulous dining experience

This was my third and worst visit to this restaurant. Our reservation was at 8:15 and we were not seated until 930 and received food at 10:15. Who wants to eat dinner at 10:15 two hours later…. Management sent a flat bread for the late and the waiter was kind nevertheless the wait was horrendous and music too loud. They do make good drinks!

Very happy to have Cataluna in Jacksonville. You are received properly by the door being open ed for you revealing a beautiful romantic interior energized by DJ curated house music and you are received by a friendly and professional hostess (all too rare in Jacksonville). Our wait at the bar til our table opened up was a very nice prologue and the bartender was attentive and prompt. Some overly full of themselves concoctions ("Catatonics"), but I appreciate the creativity, are specialties. Once seated, our server was very nice, but we did have to chase him down several times. I would say the food has a ways to go, given the price. Quite easy with a couple of drinks each to spend $250 per couple. However the vibe was cool, with couples and singles across a range of ages mostly dressed to impressed. It was a Saturday night and the firedancer added to the ambience without demanding attention. The already high energy was deliberately increased starting at 10:00 when the volume went up a notch and the entire staff came out with those giant sparklers in each hand. We left about 10:30 but you really had the feeling the party was just starting. We will be back but likely later, after dinner, having saved ourselves for the interesting mezze, and likely some classic drinks instead of the Catatonics. High hopes for Cataluna.
