Would never return to Catch Steak. We initially made our reservation for a party of 7 at 8pm. As we were running behind and wanted to ensure that we were timely for our reservation, we moved our reservation back to 8:45pm. When we modified our reservation, there was availability for a party of 7 every 15 minute time frame with the exception of 8:30 pm. 2 of our guests arrived early and were already sat at the bar with beverages in hand by 8:37pm. Once we arrived, we gathered at the bar with our guests while we waited on our table. It took nearly an hour for us to be sat. Three different members of our party had to approach the host stand throughout the hour to check in to inquire about what was going on. The hosts ensured us that the guests currently occupying our table had paid the bill and that they were just waiting on them to get up, but that they would provide complimentary appetizers due to the inconvenience.
Once sat, it took another 30 minutes to get our first round of beverages. One of our guest's ordered a single glass of sauvignon blanc and sat with an empty glass in front of him for about 20 minutes before the server returned with the actual wine.
When we ordered the food, I ordered my NY strip with bearnaise sauce. The server and I had an entire discussion about the bearnaise vs. the sauce chili butter that comes on the steak and he assured me that the bearnaise would taste great with the ny strip and recommended putting both on the side to ensure that they wouldn't mix with one another.
One "gigli" was sent out for our party of 7 as a means of an apology for having to wait for an hour.
When my steak arrived, the chili butter was on the side but the bearnaise was nowhere to be found. I was so fed up with how everything had gone so far, that I just decided to give up on the bearnaise.
As soon as we finished eating, we flagged down a server assistant and asked for the bill. Upon receiving our bill, the server charged us for the "gigli."
