Set among the lush surrounds of Draycott between Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter, Chandni Cottage offers a great chance to escape the humdrum of daily city life (it’s only a 10-minute drive from Stoke, after all). Better still, the escape is not just away from the daily routine but one to the cuisine of northwest India, a culinary canon in which the chefs at Chandni Cottage are experts. You can’t miss it if you’re heading towards Draycott from Blythe Bridge – just off the A50 on Uttoxeter Road – and Chandni Cottage is definitely worth a visit for passing lovers of South Asian food. There are loads of well-known Indian classics, lesser known specialties, Pakistani-inspired dishes and a lot more here so it suits a group outing – you can even just go straight for the vegetarian or non-vegetarian set meal to get a taste of it all.
