• Bouchard Restaurant & Inn is now Chanterelle Restaurant!

• Cancelation Policy: We kindly request that you cancel your reservation for 2-4 guests by 2 PM on the day of the reservation, and for parties of 5 or more, at least 24 hours in advance. Please note that failure to show or late cancellations will incur a fee of $25.00 per person, charged to the payment method used for your reservation.

• Business Casual Attire Required: Guests who do not meet our standards of presentation may be denied entry. While tailored shorts are acceptable, athletic wear, flip-flops, t-shirts, tank tops, and baseball caps are not permitted.

• In keeping with the ambiance of our restaurant, we regret that children under the age of seven cannot be accommodated.

• Walk-in seating is welcome and available.

    Excellent service & food. My filet of beef was cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the seared scallops. French martini delicious as was the cream brûlée. Romantic & impressive atmosphere. The best restaurant in Newport.

    This is a favorite for us even though we live 90 miles away. Food and service never disappoint. Will continue to return even though we don’t come as often as we would like.

    We had an exceptional birthday celebration this past Saturday night. Dan was an amazing host, bar tender, sommelier and made the evening so special. The French food was out of this world!! The duck breast was a bit chewy for my liking. The cessation salad, foi gras was so delicate. We had the halibut and scallop dish which were really delicate and beautifully prepared. The birthday girl had the soufflé with crème anglaise!! I had the chocolate pot de crème which was so decadent. We will definitely be back thank you Dan

    For years, this has been the finest dining establishment in the Newport area (formerly known by the name of the Inn - Bouchard's). It remains a wonderful experience. We ate here on a Saturday night in early December. We had the cauliflower and mushroom appetizers. Two of us had the scallops; I had the Dover sole. For dessert we had the Grand Marnier Souffle. All of it was superb. It's pricey, but worth every penny. It's nice to see diners dressed for the occasion. No matter what you order, I am sure you will relish it. Parking can be tricky, but in the Winter, it was no problem. Ask abt parking options.

    As always a truly outstanding experience at Chanterelle! Max, our captain, provided wonderful on point service, to include recommending a lovely Les Setilles white burgundy from Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. Special octopus appetizer was amazing with a bit more heat in its flavor than one might except at Chanterelle. Lobster ravioli was very plump with super sweet lobster. Special entree of bluefin tuna seared rare was dark red and melt in your mouth good. All followed up with souffle and an espresso martini (Chanterelle's are truly the best). Amazing.
