   If you're going to Char to enjoy the outstanding Josper Grill steaks, skip brunch and do for dinner, as the Wagyu steaks, served on a 400F degree charcoal brick. If you are only going for brunch, I recommend the Lemon Ricotta pancake, blueberries inside, served with lemon zest butter and agave syrup, or the Dulce de Leche French toast. The green chile stew is very good, just spicy enough for a local, maybe too spicy for a tourist. The stew comes with 3 hot flour tortillas and is full of tender chunks of Wagyu steak. The only steak available for brunch, pales in comparison to the dinner options, although the French fries were excellent.

   Last night, I dined at Char in Albuquerque’s Hotel Andaluz, and it was fantastic. Our server, Thelma, was a delight—warm, knowledgeable, and spot-on with her recommendations. The steak was awesome, perfectly charred and juicy from the Josper grill, and the burger was a standout too—flavorful, hearty, and cooked to perfection. Thelma’s attentive service and the modern Southwestern vibe made it a memorable meal. If you’re in town, Char’s steaks and burgers are a must-try—especially with Thelma taking care of you!

   I was thoroughly impressed with my first visit to Char, at the Hotel Andaluz, a Hilton Curio Collection property in Albuquerque. The experience was exceptional from start to finish, with attentive service and exquisite cuisine. Steak Perfection The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the wagyu steaks. Served on 400°F charcoal bricks, these cuts were a masterclass in precision cooking. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and bursting with rich flavor. The accompaniments elevated the dish further: - Chimichurri sauce - Red and green salsa - Pickled onions This combination provided a perfect balance of flavors and textures to complement the premium beef. Impressive Sides The entrees were paired with two standout side dishes: - **Calabacitas**: A traditional New Mexican vegetable medley - **Pave Potatoes**: Layered with Manchego cheese and parsley, offering a decadent twist on a classic Seafood Entree For those preferring fish, the Branzino was an excellent choice. Served on a standard dining plate, it provided a lighter yet equally satisfying alternative to the rich steaks. Delicious Dessert Delights The meal concluded with two outstanding desserts: 1. **Biscochito Parfait**: A creative take on New Mexico's state cookie 2. **Pan Dulce Apple Crisp**: Served with cinnamon mousse and drizzled with honey, a perfect blend of textures and flavors Impeccable Service The staff's attention to detail was noteworthy: - Frequent table visits by servers, manager, and hostess - Prompt beverage refills - Perfectly paced meal progression In conclusion, Char offers a dining experience that seamlessly blends innovative cuisine with attentive service, making it a standout destination in Albuquerque's culinary scene.

   So glad we decided to try Char! Will 100% be back. Not only was all of the staff so welcoming, friendly, and kind, but our food was amazing as well. Special shout-out to our server Joy who made our experience so special :) She was so kind, personable, attentive, and all around made our night so much brighter! My fiancé got the burger with Tucumcari cheddar—amazing! The corn dish I got was some of the best ever. the cherry on top was the churros with peanut butter ice cream :) 10000/10 recommend! Also has such a cool ambiance/vibe, with a rooftop bar that I can’t wait to try! You absolutely need to check this place out!

   What a beautiful restaurant with a spectacular drink and food menu. My server was attentive and knowledgeable. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. My side dishes were well paired I will return again.
