Northwest Chef and Edmonds native Jake Wilson brings his signature care for cuisine and jovial grin to Main Street in Downtown Edmonds. At the heart of the kitchen is a charcoal fired grill, inspired by the Argentinian Santa Maria style, and custom built to serve the finest bounties of the Pacific Northwest. Located in the Graphite Art Center building on 2nd and Main, Charcoal is where food and art come to meet.

    Everything was delicious! The Santa Maria mixed grill is awesome - my husband and I shared it and the different meats and grilled veggies were all cooked well and seasoned perfectly. House pickled veggies were delicious. Would totally recommend!

    So delicious! We went for the Valentine's prix fixe on Valentines weekend. Everything was perfect. All three starters were fantastic. The pork belly on a furikake rice cake was like an elevated spam musubi. It was cooked to perfection with amazing flavors. The calamari steak on frisee was served perfectly. The soy and blood orange dressing was soooo good. They brought back the brussel sprout caesar that has always been a favorite of mine. The entrees were also amazing. Perfectly cooked filet mignon, a salmon that had the best char on the outside and melted in your mouth. And then the scallop risotto with perfectly cooked scallops. Charcoal never disappoints and this meal was no exception. Can't wait to go back for the new mixed grill platter.

    This was our second visit to Charcoal. Both times, the food was excellent and the service was top notch. The menu is a little on the pricey side, making this more of a "special occasion" restaurant for us, but we will certainly be looking forward to spending other such occasions here in the future.

    Food was fresh, service was exceptional, portions were generous. The menu is pretty limited though. It would be nice to have more selections on the menu. I recommend this place.
