The Charcoal Steak House is an independent local steakhouse serving the Waterloo region community for over 65 years. Enjoy AAA Steaks, richly marbled wagyu, slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, mouth-watering pig tails, legendary smoked ribs and more. At lunch we feature an extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, bowls and healthy salad choices.

Sundays are made for Brunch from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Our Martinis Bar with summer patio offers the full Steak House menu or light meals in a more casual setting. Enjoy appetizers, a full meal, 20 beers on tap and beautiful outdoor seating area in summer.

    There were 4 of us and we all loved what we had. Calamari was delicious, lightly. Relaxed and 2 dip options, beer and goat cheese salad was delicious, and we all loved our entrees (steaks and prime rib). Garlic mashed potatoes are flavorful and the cheese cake and cherry jubilee brownie desserts were shared among us. All enjoyed immensely. Our server Eman was awesome, she joined in our banter and was attentive without hovering.

    I’ve been going for almost 60 years. It’s great 90% of the time. Today was very good and service was great.

    Great dinner for a special occasion. Service was prompt and helpful with classic steakhouse fare. Even had some great season options. Good wine list. A must visit for a special occasion dinner in the KW area.

    Food and service did not disappoint. Servers were able to accommodate dietary restrictions and navigate the menu to best advise on food choices. Beef wellingtons are a favourite and I order in repeat and each time I am delighted.

    We enjoyed a nice Christmas meal with close friends at Charcoal. Caitlyn did an excellent job as our server and was friendly, polite and attentive. The food was really tasty and I really enjoyed the beef wellington. It was a very pleasant way to celebrate the holidays.

    We were here for a birthday celebration. The service was great and the food was very good. A bit on the saltier side but that’s just personal preference. Overall good experience
