Ugh. Wanted to say it was exceptional, but because of a unannounced special event, and an unannounced limited menu, it truly was not exceptional. Steak Frites (ordered medium rare) was really over done, dry, small, and slow. Service also really slow. Wine forgotten until I reminded her. Ice cream desert REALLY slow (almost seemed forgotten). Coffee....cold. Caeser salad was nice. Maybe on a regular night, it all lives up to the hype but dinner for 1 at $140 plus tip should have been so much better. Place looks really nice, so maybe just an off night.

We both ordered the yellowfin tuna entree (there was also a yellowfin tuna tartare starter on the menu.) Our waiter didn’t ask any questions and when the entree was delivered, we were both surprised the fish was crudo style versus a filet. It wasn’t very good (way too many tomatoes versus meat), and we both ate approx half of our portion. Much to my surprise, when the bill came, it had been 2 orders of the tartare appetizer. We had ordered vegetable side dishes and it was clear this was our only entree, so why when I said we both wanted the yellowfin tuna, did he think we wanted the appetizer. A waste of $150 dinner and by far the biggest disappointment of our 4 day trip to NYC

We had a nice meal, food quality was great, the service was terrible, the wait staff was non responsive. We had four different people assisting our table but no one seemed to be in charge. The restaurant was not busy. We had to get up and ask for help three times for service. No one ever cleared plates, so when the dinner finally arrived they had to find others to come and clear the table. Kinda embarrassing for my guests

Charlie Palmer is an exceptional establishment and we are so happy to have dined there. The service was well timed, the staff were very attentive and the food was fabulous!

The food was fantastic. The bartender made me a fruity rum concoction that was delicious. Our service was really slow though and we were ignored by our waiter a lot towards the end. We almost missed our show.

Always a good experience for lunch here. It’s a go to spot when entertaining for business. A hidden gem with excellent service and a thoughtful, delicious menu. You can’t go wrong with the steak frits.

The service, food and cocktails were exceptional! Could not have asked for anything more. Truly a hidden gem. The hustle and bustle of Time Square disappears as soon as you enter. This should be a destination restaurant.
