    We had a truly terrible experience. I was so embarrassed that I selected this restaurant to take our friends for their birthday dinner. Service was so bad our drinks took over 30 minutes, it took an hour for our one coconut shrimp appetizer then after 90min we checked in about our meal and our main course came out about 15min later but our soups and salads just never came and our waiter didn’t even seem to notice. When we mentioned it he cancelled them rather than asking if we still wanted them so at the end of the night we left hungry and unsatisfied having only received our al a cart meats. When we finished eating our waiter told us he would put our dessert in which we had ordered along side our main course because the menu said it takes 30 min for the lava cake. We had babies at home we needed to get back to and the entire experience was a disaster. I will never return.

    The service was outstanding, and the view was simply incredible. I would have dinner there again if we were in the area.

    The location was great we were seated along the window where we had a view of the marina. The food was very good and the servers were very friendly.

    Excellent ambience, friendly service and great food. Even though the restaurant specializes in seafood and non-vegetarian dishes, we found some good vegan choices, and the server did everything to help us -- even making a pasta and veggie dish that was not on the menu. We will go back there just for the ambience and friendly atmosphere.

    I was so surprised to have personal menu. It made me feel special. We were seated in a booth with a view of Dana Point. Evelin our server was awesome. She made sure we had good wine and our food was served perfectly. The oysters were large and delicious.

    The Chart House is a wonderful place to have a special meal, in a location that affords a tremendous view, depending on where you might be seated. But it's a little pricey for an everyday, regular dinner out. The service was terrific.

    As requested, a table at the window despite a packed house. Incredibly accommodating and efficient hostess. We enjoyed a cocktail and glass of wine and then had the crunchy shrimp appetizer (a favorite every time we visit) and the Caprese salad along with Seabass and an end cut of prime rib along with some creamed spinach. Everything was delicious. Attentive service. And of course, spectacular views of the harbor. Can’t wait to return.

    Disappointing. Service and view was good. The chef must have been off; not even a simple NY steak tasted good.
