    This location serves the BEST dining experience and their Thanksgiving dinner was amazing. From the front desk, to excellent bartenders and an attentive server plus their helpful valets, it was VERY memorable occasion.

    The Thanksgiving menu had a great variety as well as some a la carte items. We had a party of 8 and everyone was pleased with the options. The view in Dana Point is always beautiful and our table had a great view. The place was SO packed. You could barely thread yourself between the tables. And the noise level was really high. Food did take a while, but it came out hot. Our waitress was the best - great attitude and super sweet. Valet parking only - and they had their hands full. If they hadn't packed in so many tables, it would have been perfect.

    Third Thanksgiving there, sat outside with a beautiful view of the harbor and was much quieter than inside. Food choices and the meals were outstanding. Valet parking was a bit of a nightmare so we parked on the street but other than that everything was great.

    The service was slow and lacking. The food was not what I would expect from a Chart House. The portions were small and the presentation was much more like cafeteria food. The salad portion was small with very little flavor. The turkey seemed like it was not fresh carved but everyone’s serving looked exactly the same, like it was prepackaged. Disappointed in the portions, food, and service. My key lime pie was a tiny piece that resembled a pie you could pick up from a grocery store. No presentation. No drizzle of sauce or flair. Very plain, and the presentation and food reminded me of cafeteria food. Very disappointed.

    Food was fantastic . Lobster Bisque as Unbelievably good… crazy good. Overall Thanksgiving dinner was great. Servive was suburb even on Holiday. Parking was an issue Valet fills up before noon on Thanksgiving. Overall experience was Excellent!!!!!

    We had a 6:30pm reservation and didn’t get seated until 7pm. Also the service seemed to be understaffed. Our server was running all over the place.

    We have been coming here for years and I would say after last night never again, it’s a shame because the view is amazing but that’s it at this point ! Our server was nice he was new but it wasn’t his fault , it’s the kitchen and the management! Our food was cold and not prepared correctly, the sea bass was so salty it wasn’t even edible and the baked potato was cold and we had to send it back ! Our food took a hour and a half to get our entree that is just not okay , it was a dinner to celebrate our anniversary and we didn’t even get a dessert after all of that ! Wow is all I can say ! I don’t think we will go back , this is the like the 3rd time maybe 4th that things haven’t gone well ! The excuse was given last night that they had a large wedding , our dinner reservation was 6.30 pm . Just so disappointing.

    We ate on a Saturday night, starting at 5:30 pm. We had a reservation and were seated quickly but noticed there were 3 tables empty near the windows, while we were seated in an alcove, across the room from the windows. I'm not sure how those tables were reserved and when I asked I was told they weren't sure how long the wait would be for those tables. Had I not made a reservation I would have understood, but it was confusing and a bit frustrating since the primary reason for going to the Charthouse is the view. Our waitress was very good and attentive but the food was very slow. The manager stopped by and checked in on us, which I appreciated and overall the waitstaff is excellent. The food is fine. It came out nice and hot. I appreciated the bread basket as we waited for our main course. Overall, I think the service is what made this an excellent experience.
