Chartier is a rustic, French-Canadian restaurant located in the heart of Beaumont, AB. The menu, created by Head Chef Tamara Solon, is an elevated take on rustic French-Canadian favourites; made with love, care, and extraordinary amounts of butter. Our food is for everyone. Not frilly and pretentious, just wholesome local ingredients that taste amazing and fill your belly.

Chartier was named the Best New Restaurant by Avenue Magazine in 2016, one of the top 10 Best New Restaurants in Alberta by the Globe and Mail, and made the long list for the Best New Restaurants in Canada by enRoute Magazine. Most recently, it was featured on Food Network Canada’s Big Food Bucket List starring John Catucci.

    Take a paddle through the Alberta producers we support without ever leaving your table. We're excited to welcome back the Canoe Trip - a once-a-month six course tasting menu designed for those who like to try "a little bit of everything" when they go out for a special meal. The cost is $90/person + GST and gratuity, with drink pairings available for an additional $40 (non-alcoholic drink pairings are also available) All you have to do is sit back, relax, & enjoy your evening as we guide you through "the best of Chartier". Please email tamara@dinechartier.com to discuss allergy/dietary restrictions prior to booking. The canoe trip is offered on the first Thursday of every month only.

For an enhanced experience, consider adding optional wine pairings for an additional $40/person. For any dietary restrictions or food allergies please email tamara@dinechartier.com prior to booking to confirm your restrictions can be accommodated. 2 hour seatings are available at 5:00-5:30, 7:00-7:30, and our final seating of the evening with no set end time 9:00-9:30.     Service was excellent the presentation was nice and the food was absolutely delicious. Very enjoyable will definitely be back. The French Canadian coffee was superb.

    Our meal was beyond expectations. I had the mushroom risotto with chicken - and dairy free. I did not expect that a dairy free risotto could be so delicious. And the variety and different texture of mushrooms? Wow. Chartier is now a must go for any trip to Edmonton.

    Very nice brunch with tasty dishes. Some patrons sitting at the bar across from us were quite noisy so that my husband and I could not carry on a conversation. I was reluctant to approach them but maybe the waitresses could pay attention to that? Otherwise excellent and good value for money. Thanks for the opportunity to comment! :)

    We went for brunch, and had an enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly, and the place is lovely (very rustic, farm to table). The food was good; we had eggs benny and the eggs were cooked to our specifications. It was a touch loud inside, but they did turn the music down when we asked. The service was attentive, the restrooms are clean, and the food is yummy.
