Firstly the good things - Lovely ambience and atmosphere as the waitress had put on a Sabrina Carpenter play list for lots of us attending the concert. 1 Kid asked for well done steak but it was served still very pink. However waitress was great and sorted it out straight away, she was really lovely. The steak and cheesecakes were delicious. However the bad - Fries, sauces and onion sides were cold but we ate them as had already waited a bit. We were a bit shocked when bill arrived as a £3.75 charge for table water, we were asked if we wanted this on arrival before seeing any menu. As most places give free beautiful scottish water in a refillable bottle we expected this, also we didn’t actually see the bottle being opened, it arrived open so bit wary of this practice. We also felt that the added 10% service charge was a bit much when dining with 2 kids off an already set menu with 1 drink each. So £13.85 (inc water) added to bill which was more than the steak frites dinner itself at £12.50. I understand this charge in a small restaurant when lots of adults dining and ordering many different food items and drinks etc but this was limited. Also our lovely waitress had finished by time we paid so don’t know if she got any of this. Next event we will probs stick to Strip Joint next door.
