   Food was amazing and will definitely go again very authentic Chinese food and the stir fry vegetables, heavenly. Will great if they had set menus as well soon.

   We had a traditional family lunch on December 31st in CHELI 浙里 restaurant. The food was incredibly tasty, hot serving, fast, service was attentive and fast. We really liked it and we will definitely return to this restaurant.

   At last another decent Chinese restaurant in SE London, there are so few. Very good food, clean, fresh, unadulterated with good ingredients. Rapid and effective service. Very good value. Some very good wines available although we did not drink them. Boring and sterile surroundings though, although convenient location wise. Otherwise recommended.

   Not as good as I had hoped. The physical menu had been expensively produced and was not overwhelming like some restaurants which is good, but that said, it was supplemented by a lunch menu AND a seasonal menu, and then it did start to get a bit fiddly to decide what to have. The prices were quite high, so all in all I had high expectations. When it arrived the food was unexceptional, all as expected / nothing special, no disasters. The decor is shiny which looks inviting from the outside but once inside, it lacks ambience. On leaving we noticed that Cheli is connected to the gaming / bubble tea / ramen cafe next door. I got the sense that the whole enterprise was intended for the burgeoning Chinese student community at Elephant. The food was fine, but taken with everything else I wouldn't go back.

   If I say ZheLi is one of the best-looking Chinese restaurants in London, I don’t think anyone would argue! Passed by after work near Elephant & Castle with my boyfriend, and we were completely drawn in by how gorgeous this place is. Had to go in and give it a try – the atmosphere really is top-notch!✨ 💡 Here’s what we ordered: Crab Roe Soup Dumplings 🥟 The dumpling skin looked totally homemade – thin but doesn’t break, and it was bursting with broth! Every bite was ridiculously flavourful. The only thing is… I didn’t actually spot any crab roe inside. Maybe I ordered the wrong one? But honestly, still tasted amazing! Flower Crab Stir-Fried Rice Cakes 🦀🍚 This dish was such a surprise! So much crab meat, and the rice cakes were soft and chewy, stir-fried to a perfect light sweetness. If they provided crab-eating tools, it would’ve been even better because cracking it by hand was a bit of a challenge😂. Steamed Yellow Croaker 🐟 Hands down the softest, most tender fish I’ve had in London! Every bite was incredibly fresh, and the fish just melted in your mouth. Only slight thing is the presentation wasn’t as polished as the menu pic – if they matched that, it would’ve been flawless!

    Very nice Chinese Southern cuisine! I really like the Sufongpo Pork! Very classic! Definitely recommend it!
