A new French bistro nestled in a historic townhouse on the Upper East Side. In the main dining room, Executive Chef Zack Zeidman delivers Parisian classics with Basque flair. Upstairs at Salon de Fifi a l’Étage, master mixologist Yumi Nemoto showcases innovative signature cocktails, served alongside light bites from the kitchen below.

    An instant classic! Beautiful, architecturally welcoming interior, warm knowledgeable hospitality and wine service, delicious dishes executed with Southern French flair and none of the typically high level of salt prevalent among NYC restaurants. Love this place.

    I usually only write reviews with complaints. However, the dining experience last night at Chez Fifi was the opposite: perfection! No, I am not a planted reviewer! But with a just opened restaurant that one would expect some startup issues, and very little info on the internet, my expectation was far exceeded. The roast chicken dinner was perfectly cooked. The accompanying potatoes were among the best I have ever tasted. In a really nice setting, and the dessert served upstairs in the lounge, I have no complaints...just how to secure another reservation in the future.

    I don’t want to write *too* good a review and make it even harder to get a reservation. Food was spectacular, service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, and the space was impeccably designed. Don’t miss the bar upstairs. Or the Txangurro. Or the roast chicken. Or…

    Stunning restaurant and exceptional service. This is definitely a “special occasions” restaurant since it’s very pricey (dinner for two was north of $300). This is a very exciting opening for the upper east side!
