This year's Gold Award Honouree for the Ontario Hostelry Institute's 'Independent Restauranteur'. In 1979, Chez Piggy opened it's doors to launch a dining experience that blends grace and gusto, taste and imagination - and has been a destination for food lovers ever since. Located in a restored limestone stable with an idyllic courtyard patio, "The Pig" is the perfect choice for your family celebration, romantic dinner, business lunch or a fun night out with friends. Our menu celebrates globally inspired flavours while supporting the local farming community to bring the best seasonal produce to your table.

My wife and I ate at Chez Piggy several times many years ago. It is very commendable that the quality of food and service has servived the test of time. My recent dinner was exceptionally good. Keep up the good work.

As always, the food here was interesting, very tasty, and well presented. The staff ( a long-timer) was excellent and attentive, even on a busy night when there were no empty tables. Wine selection was also excellent. Portion sizes, especially the appetizers (Where's Waldorf salad and hummus / pita plate), were very generous . . . could have been sharing plates. This remains our favourite Kingston restaurant!

We went for the Sunday roast. Meat and veg served 'family style'; in our case roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes, roast cauliflower and Romanesco on 2 big platters. The meat was very yummy, but so rare and fatty that our knives wouldn't cut it. We'd been told it would be served medium rare to rare, which is perfect. Instead it seemed rare to almost blue. The veg - ostensibly the least expensive part of the meal - was quite scarce, but delicious. Not enough veg for 4 people, although the price per person is not high, so maybe that's it. The table d'hote comes with soup/salad and dessert. Beef & barley soup was very tasty and the pumpkin pie was a real treat. Very good service and good wines to choose from. Once you add the booze in, the price of the meal was on the high side to our mind.

Had a terrific time at Chez Piggy. The service was tremendous. It was attentive without being bothersome. The front desk was able to respond to a change in our numbers without a fuss and were very gracious in our seating arrangements. The price point was fine. A great place to have brunch.

Graduated from Queens in '82 and Chez Piggy's was our university days place to get parents to take you, special occasion or when you simply needed to pamper yourself and desert your student budget for an evening. Since then we return every fiveyears for Homecoming and our Saturday lunch is a must. This year proved no exception and the food, service and ambience were all perfect. Thank you Piggy and we hope to see you again before our next Homecoming.

Our lunch on Saturday was wonderful from prompt seating to excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. I would not hesitate to dine at Chez Piggy again.

The food was fantastic! The dessert, “pyramid Scheme” was the kind of thing you think about for days afterwards and dream about. Makes you want to come back years later and hope it is still on the menu!
