The Garden has existed in some form since 1988, making us the oldest restaurant in Avon. In its current form, The Garden is back under family ownership and operation, harking back to simpler and friendly times when an evening was spent making new friends and debating over which mountain to ski the next day. We know the valley is considered a "vacation home" for many, but we like to place the emphasis on home; come join our family, break bread, and make some new memories.

We are repeat customers over decades. This is a FUN and affordable place to gather for just drinks or a wonderful warm and cozy meal. The staff is just the best. Shout out to Shervin behind the bar and the whole cast of characters. You will love the food, experience and feel like family when you leave. We are so grateful for this local gem.

Part of our annual tradition is to visit China Garden when we come in town. As always it is excellent. The staff is always so kind and attentive.

We had the German popup menu. Wiener schnitzels were classic, absolutely perfect and delicious with lingenberry, red cabbage and spaetzle. Very much an unexpected find. We had some Chinese appetizers, also very good.

On Friday-Sunday they also have a German menu, which is very good! They also have a selection of German beers. My wife likes the Schnitzel with red cabbage & spatzle, but this time I tried the goulash, which was excellent. The service was great, & the owner makes a point of stopping by & asking your impressions. If you like German food, can’t go wrong @ China Garden!

My family of four ate here on a Sunday night after a long day of skiing. The food was excellent with fresh ingredients and sauces made from scratch. Nothing was greasy, even though we ordered some fried dishes including dumplings and Gen'l Tso's Chicken, and you can tell attention is paid to culinary technique and timing of service. Everything came out quickly and hot and vegetables were fresh and tender but not mushy. This is a family owned place and both owners were incredibly attentive and kind to my two kiddos (ages 9 and 11). We will definitely be back!

Fantastic family-run restaurant just steps away from the crowds in Beaver Creek. Food was delicious with fresh and well-cooked vegetables galore. Service could not have been better - it's a family-run place and they make you feel like you are part of the family. Well worth a stop when skiing Beaver Creek and we will definitely be back!
