Conceived by Sir David Tang, the founder of China Clubs in Hong Kong, Peking, and Singapore, as well as the life-style brand, "Shanghai Tang", China Tang aims to define the best of classical Cantonese food.

There is no fusion of dishes nor compromise on classical recipes, all are prepared with the freshest ingredients and traditional spices and flavourings. No mono-sodium-glutomate (MSG) shall be used.

The decoration of China Tang will evoke a romantic sense of art deco of the thirties. At the same time, there will be an abundance of Chinoiserie as well as a collection of art from both.

Half the menu wasn’t available, the reservation was lost and we hate to wait for an hour at the bar, and the service was very poor.

Great ambience and food is excellent. The bar is quite nice and we enjoyed the specialty drinks.

China Tang is a rather dated restaurant that needs a good refurb. The food was ok but unfortunately nothing worthy of a recommendation to friends. I would go so far as saying the food is no better quality than a good take away.

The food was outstanding! Probably the best food I’ve had in a restaurant in a while. Went to celebrate gf birthday and she loved the food.

The food and service is second to none but there just isn’t any ambience anymore. The main dining room is too light and the side area for tables of two feels more like a side room for tables of two.. There are service stations everywhere and a waiter put down someone else’s half eaten olives onto our table. They had also run out of all the “go to” dishes which is a little crazy considering the numbers aren’t to capacity. The meal itself was great. Expensive but delicious.

Even after reserving and going through the task of confirming my reservation a day prior, we had to wait for 20-25 mins for our table. The tables were not spaced apart well enough to feel comfortable during covid times.
