Best of British beef, butchered & dry-aged in house and cooked over a charcoal grill. Chop House is an innovative blend of classic British steakhouse and cocktail bar brought to you by the team behind Monteiths & the White Horse Oyster Bar. Provenance is at the centre of the Chop House offer and we use only the finest beef sourced from artisan suppliers across Scotland.
The meat is dry aged for up to 90 days to add flavour, increase tenderness then the beef cooked on a charcoal grill, specially designed to give a subtle smoky flavour. Our fantastic food offering is matched by an extensive wine list from around the world and exceptional cocktail list. Open 7 days for lunch, dinner and Sunday roast! Overall was a lovely meal. Service was good, venue lovely, staff friendly. Kids menu was good… pudding had a very dark chocolate sauce on it, was so bitter my child couldn’t eat it. Spicy marg, wasn’t that great, lacked salt on the rim too. Steak sourdough was 85% bread, but the steak that was in the sandwich was cooked perfectly. Overall solid four … would recommend as a good option for kids if you wanted something a bit fancier but fair priced.

Lovely service, lovely food. Great atmosphere, not too loud. Cocktails were perfect. The food was worth every penny. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent venue, really enjoyed the drink at the bar before taking our table. Service was great and the steak was done exactly as we ordered. A bit disappointed by the sauces, they were a little watery/thin. Over all a lovely night, would definitely go back.

Had date night here, great atmosphere for adults in the evening. Food was amazing, our steaks cooked exactly how we asked. Definitely recommend having dinner here.

We had a really nice meal. Steak cooked to perfection and our waitress was lovely. However the man who seated us told us immediately that we only have an hour and a half at the table. Which kinda put us off a bit. So we didn't opt for starters or a desert as there wasn't time. I appreciate they are mega busy but it did feel like a little dampener on the meal and over all experience.

All great as usual. I had to change my booking a couple of times and the response was always very fast and very courteous. Thank you to the staff!

Whilst our server did rectify our issues by reflecting it into the bill - my steak was borderline inedible and cooked horribly. My partners steak was cooked fine but lacked any actual seasoning or flavour.

Food was good, drinks very expensive even by city centre prices. £55 for a pretty ordinary bottle of prosecco Service was polite but very slow - and it was very quiet so not to do with being busy. Staff were more interested in being on computers and disappearing
