Chop was created for people who love connecting, sharing experiences, and everything steak. Proudly Canadian and minutes away from Toronto Pearson Airport, Chop Dixon Road is located in the heart of the hotel and convention district with ample free parking. Priding ourselves on creating "The Perfect Steak" from start to finish, Chop is committed to sustainable sourcing, choice cuts of fresh Canadian Beef, sourced from Canadian ranchers. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender.     We had a wonderful lunch. The food was fantastic everyone really enjoyed our meals and the service was as enjoyable as our food. Thank you for a Fantastic experience

    The food was mediocre ! The french onion soup was very tasty . The file mignon was not the best meat and some parts were very chewy while the other half was ok. Keg is a better choice for sure .I asked for a dessert menu. Then our waiter disappeared for 15 min without passing by or checking back on us ! Then we asked for a pineapple cake and that was a really good choice . I told the waiter his name is Halal to bring me the bill and when I wanted to pay him the $115 bill with a $150 chop gift card all his said ,, oh so you don't need this anymore " and he grabbed them literally ran away with cards and never came back again . We are sitting there for about 15 extra min because usually in this case they are coming back with the receipt or let us know the cards went through and say something like i hope you enjoyed your dinner and see you next time or thank you for the $35 tip and let us know we can go . But not in this case ! After 15 min when he passed by i asked him what's going on he just said yes we are done. So i was very angry at this point and started to ask him what kind of behaviour is this and he was trying to tell me something but i didn't even listen to his explanation i asked the manager and luckily he solved the problem in a professional manner . He apologised and he refunded our$35 tip in cash . We are definitely not going back again to chop .

    Server was amazing. He definitely knows how to do his job. The portion size for the cost just doesn't add up. Rare top sirloin was beyond chewy. Medium rare was the same. My son had a burger which he said was amazing. The side of seasonal vegetables that comes with the steak consisted of 3 pieces of zucchini and 2 beets. For almost 50$ a plate i would expect more for a steak dish. Music was very loud. The Vaughan location is much more preferable to our family. For a family of 4 they brought one menu to the table? I had to ask the server to please bring us 3 more so we didnt have to share one menu. Probably would not return to this location.

    We ate in the lounge. Lighting was a little bright over our table, but not too bad. Food was good. Steaks cooked properly. Service was good, though, we did sit for about 15 minutes at the end of the meal after the table cleared before our waitress returned so we could ask for our bill. We were on no particular rush, but it seemed odd.

    Decent food, terrible service. Young staff that really are not good at what is required at a mid-tier steakhouse. Oscar topping forgotten on steak, brought when steak almost gone. Single dessert and 2 dessert coffees brought out over 3 trips, 10 minutes apart. Zero acknowledgment or compensation given. Waitress asking what our plans were as soon as we are paying the bill and adding tip (insert eye roll here), then immediately leaves mid-story when we are done with the machine. Par for the course these days, unfortunately.

    The only issue I had with my dinner last night was our waitress. I think she needed more training. She wanted us to order dinner before taking a drink order. And once we had our drinks she didn't come back to take our order and we had to flag her down. I enjoyed the cod and Caesar salad.
