Be prepared for fun eating AYCE! A cool double sided menu with pictures! You think, there is not a lot to chose from at a glance. But as you peruse the menu and look at the plates coming quickly out to tables from the chefs, you’ll know it’s a lot to choose from. Check in online or when you enter for wait list with a QR code. When you see the hundred reservations an hour after they open you’ll realize a two hour wait must be worth it! The restaurant is photo worthy!
We sat at the sushi bar my last visit, we drove 40 mins in traffic to dine btw, and decided it was worth both the drive and the wait. Just watching the magicians making the sushi was a treat, I eat a ton of sushi but the speed that they were making rolls and special items was ridiculous! These rolls aren’t small and it’s a misconception often seen by large groups to over order but sit staring at the last roll as though they might need a wheel barrel to take them out of there. Larger groups of 6-12 can be seated but the place isn’t set up for more than a few bigger tables and it actually seems to impede the turnover of tables that would be my only minus. If they’d limit large groups to 8 I think the waitlist would move quicker on weekends.
The wait staff is remarkable and getting food out quickly is now a well oiled machine from when they first opened. The gentleman at the door fielding questions on “how long? To how to get on the waitlist?” Is one of the best front of house managers I’ve ever met and I dine out a lot! Always polite to everyone, even when asking people to move away from the front lobby so staff could get to the bar. I apologize for not at this moment having his name, but when I find out I’ll add, because he kept moving nonstop for the length of time we waited! Kudos.
Lastly, I do recommend everything. Though I’m glad I ordered sushi first and not rolls as I barely ate all that we ordered, do try the Onigiri. Good to remember it’s AYCE, so order wisely and often.
