Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

We have eaten here before, but this was our first time for a Sunday brunch. It was our anniversary and we enjoyed splurging for an amazing meal. It did not disappoint!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at City Post in Georgetown, Texas, to celebrate our anniversary, and I must say, it was an experience that elevated our celebration to new heights! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the stage for a memorable evening. The service was impeccable - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure our evening was nothing short of spectacular. They recommended dishes that didn't disappoint, and their enthusiasm for the menu was infectious. Now, let's talk about the food! The steaks were phenomenal - cooked to perfection with a rich, flavorful char that only a true steakhouse can achieve. The quality of the meat was evident in every bite, making it a highlight of our meal. However, the star of the show for us was the Lobster Mac and Cheese. This dish was an absolute revelation! The creamy, cheesy sauce, combined with chunks of succulent lobster, created a harmony of flavors that was both comforting and luxurious. Celebrating our anniversary at City Post made the occasion truly special. The combination of excellent service, a cozy yet elegant atmosphere, and, of course, the outstanding food, made for an evening we'll cherish for years to come. My friend and I went for brunch .The inside of the restaurant was beautiful. The food was amazing! We had the roast, waffles with berries, steak and eggs and cheesecake. The smoke flavor on the filet was so delicious. The roast meat was cooked perfectly pink, the roasted carrots were very fresh, the waffle was very light and tasty, and the cheesecake was just heaven! I’ll definitely be back to try dinner.

Located in the old Georgetown post office. The City post offer outstanding selection of steak and fish. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. The live piano kept the atmosphere lively. The service and staff were friendly and inviting. I recommend the City Post for your next special occasion.

We went there for brunch, Great atmosphere, beautiful restaurant service was above average great craft cocktails. I had hoped to try the eggs Benedict dish, but they ran out of biscuits and while an alternative was offered, had my heart set on the biscuit for the bread Decided on Roasted chicken and waffles instead, which was a solid entrée choice. Nice texture and tenderness on the chicken and waffles were tasty. The lobster roll left a little something to be desired, fairly bland.
