Civico 47 ("House Number 47") is located at the iconic 47 Windsor Street in Paddington overlooking . Chef Matteo Zamboni showcases the best of Australian produce in a menu filled with seasonal inspiration from Italy’s most famous regions (try; Beef Carpaccio, Prawn Mafalde, Mandarin Duck). Sommelier extraordinarrie Luke Collard helps you to captivate the essence of your meal with a profound wine selection.

Civico has garnered a Chef's Hat & two Wine Goblet's in each year of operation but with it's casual-fine dining interior feel and style, it is perfectly suited for an intimate dinner for two, for larger catch ups or group lunches/dinners with family and friends. Civico 47 is now welcoming BYO wine every lunch and Thursday all day! If you’ve got a something special at home, or have a favourite wine that’s not on our list - now’s your chance to bring it with you and enjoy at Civico along side chef Matteo Zamboni’s modern Italian menu. Corkage is $25 per bottle at lunch and dinner (Thursdays only). We have beautiful Plumm glassware, decanters where required, and advice on food pairing from our resident sommelier Luke Collard. T&C’s: Maximum one 750ml bottle (or equivalent) per adult customer. Not available when dining on our Pranzo or First Table offers. BYO is at our discretion for groups of 7 or more, please speak to the restaurant for more information.

We had a lovely experience dining @ Civico 47. Love the warm ambience of the restaurant and it’s hidden in a corner of a lovely suburb. Can’t fault the welcoming atmosphere and the courteous staff & service we were provided with. Food was done incredibly well with some fine skills by the chef! Thank you Civico 47 for hosting us with this beautiful experience!

Exquisite service and staff, cocktails, food. Visiting my friends in Paddington for two weeks and this place immediately became my local go-to restaurant and bar (or “townie bar” as I would call it back home). As someone who frequents restaurants almost every night of the week, there was no need to seek out another place during my stay here for a staple bar and restaurant.

"Hi, thank you for the wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. We had a great evening overall. However, there were two aspects I wasn’t entirely happy with. Firstly, I ordered a French rosé that I saw on the drinks menu, but the waiter repeatedly mentioned that they only had Italian rose . He assured me he would bring the French one, but ultimately, I was served the Italian rosé. While it was still enjoyable, I had specifically wanted to try a different wine. I would have been happy to pay the difference, but it left me with the impression that I received the cheaper option. I don’t want to make assumptions, but I just didn’t feel entirely comfortable with the situation. Secondly, regarding the vegetarian menu, I felt there was a limited selection of main dishes. For an Italian restaurant, I expected something a bit more exciting—perhaps options with truffles, artichokes, or pumpkin. Instead, it was mostly pasta with cheese, which I felt was too simple, like something I could easily prepare at home. While the food was tasty, I was hoping for more creativity, especially for the price. Lastly, I wasn’t fond of the cabbage in the vegetarian dish. The flavor didn’t quite complement the other soft and delicate tastes on the menu. The Japanese influence in an Italian restaurant felt a bit out of place. Overall, a lovely experience, but these small details could make a big difference."

Outstanding food in a beautifully decorated, cozy little restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The dry aged duck was a highlight! So flavorful and perfectly cooked! Highly recommended!
