Open since 2010, Claire's Kitchen creates an authentic and familiar French experience that keeps bringing customers back.

Situated between Surry Hills and Darlinghurst over 2 levels. The ground level is reserved for classic dinner experience while the mezzanine level hosts Cabaret Nights from Tuesday to Sunday or private functions at request.

Former TV chef Marc Kuzma (aka Claire de Lune) lets his talents shine at his Darlinghurst venture. Step through the doors from Oxford Street, and enter a world of glamour, decadence and French chic. Soaring ceilings, imported wallpapers, glittering chandeliers, white linen, black Louis XV chairs and French antiques will make you feel like you're world's away from the chaos of the bustling street outside. Oh oui, nous aimons que….(we love that!). Charming French waiters warmly welcome patrons at Claire' and the brasserie classics with contemporary touches are done with true French finesse. It's French chic at its best.

Le Salon is perfect for a seat down dinner for up to 50 guests, a cocktail party for up to 80The whole restaurant for up to 120 guests for seat down dinner or lunch or cocktail party for up to 160 guests.

Classic French dishes in an elegant & quiet dining space. Friendly staff too. Good to hear they have a temporary reprieve from their forced relocation.

Very disappointing compared to previous years there before, the standard and quality of food has gone downhill,especially the chateaubriand serve was huge but quaff meat was poor overcooked grisly with lots of tendon and muscle scallops as entree was tiny and French onion soup was sour after port added in complexly unpalatable price was increased, will not recommend it to anyone and definitely will Never go back there ever again .

We had a fabulous meal here. Hosts were very attentive and would highly recommend this. The lemon tart was divine. 🌟

Claire’s is always excellent. This was our last visit before they close due to the pending the redevelopment of the building. They will be missed. We can but hope that they find a new site. In the meantime, go to have a great French meal - which is also great for coeliacs - and if you time it right see some incredible cabaret performers at their final shows at the venue. Au revoir Claire’s! Merci.

food was great, service was lovely - the wait staff were very friendly and understanding that this was my date and my first time and an expensive restaurant and were accommodating of this. they had an event on the same day as our date, which really killed the ambience and soured our experience. the audio from the above rooms were loud and disruptive, and some patrons from the upstairs event came down with bright makeup lights and kept them on for about 30-40 mins. this ruined and romantic/mood lighting the venue was going for. one patron had a large wooden room divider which fell during our dinner and hit our table + an empty table in front of us. we were lucky enough to have the divider on partially hit our table and spill a little bit of our drinks, but the empty table in front was wiped. i could see this was upsetting the staff but they didn't seem to have the permission to challenge this patron. tl;dr this place is nice, roughly was $100pp (with drinks + dessert), should have good ambience - but i'd recommend looking on their website/Facebook to see if there's an event on the night you're thinking of going and avoid if there's an event on

Great food and wine, nice people waiting on the tables, one of our favourite places. It is a great pity that it has to close soon.

What a friendly, fantastic dining experience. Delicious food, great selection of wine and THE MOST FUN SERVER EVER! We had a lot of laughs together while enjoying escargot - perfectly cooked in a delicious Brandy butter and OMG the Canard en Croute - one of the most delicious and decadent things I've ever tasted. Velvety brie melted into a sauce over roasted duck? Yes please! The creme brulee was outstanding. This is a small restaurant worth the drive off the main CBD (about 10 mins with traffic). Go to Claires!

Great ambiance, superb food and very friendly service. A must to visit before it closes next year. Another Sydney icon will bite the dust.
