Clandestino is the moody sister of Tac/Quila. Serving elevated and fresh Mexican food. Located right next to the Marilyn Monroe statue in downtown Palm Springs. The restaurant is headed by Chef Gustavo Carreon who has worked diligently to create a menu that highlights the best that his home country has to offer. Some Clandestino exclusives include stuffed squash blossoms and cochinita pibil. We have 100% outdoor seating.

The ambience is lovely with all the flowers. Nice view of the mountains. Love that you can make reservations. The food ,drink and service are wonderful. Zoe is a terrific waitress …professional, courteous, gives terrific recommendations..

We had a great experience at Clandestino. We enjoyed our food thoroughly and the spicy cucumber margaritas were delicious. The only issue we had with our visit, was the fact that it was New Year’s Eve and our reservation was made at 9:30 but the restaurant still closed at 10 o’clock. We felt a bit rushed to put in our order because they have a very extensive menu which required some time. Although we made a reservation for two, we opted to sit at the bar. My only minor complaint, was the redheaded, long bearded bartender. He just didn’t have a good attitude when I mentioned to him that we just sat down and needed a moment to look over the menu. It seemed like he may have just wanted to get out and celebrate the New Year’s himself. Which I completely understand. I jdon’t understand why a restaurant would take reservations all the way up until 15 minutes before they close the kitchen, then have their employees rush them to order. Especially on in the evening where it’s meant for celebration…

Wonderful NYE experience with my family. Service, food, ambience, cocktails and dessert were perfect. Will be back to try other menu options

Clandestino serves up inventive cocktails, creative cuisine, and a wonderful place for shared dishes. A go to restaurant for when we are entertaining guests from out of town. The service is excellent - last night our knowlegable server Shawn helped us with making selections and made the evening most memorable. Our friends were most impressed.

Quick seating upon arrival. All the food arrived very quickly as well. The waitress, Kris, was amazing and knowledgeable. We are vegetarian and had the fried squash blossoms, vegetarian Tamales and stewed Cauliflower. All were delicious. The cocktails were very good as well.
