An original in-house restaurant at Gardiner Museum. Offering seasonal menus of fresh, local fare, inspired design that's deeply connected to the Museum's ceramic focus, and a seamless continuation of the impeccable service clients have to expect from the museum. Clay breathes new life into Yorkville's fine dining community.
This is the place. Eat here and while you're there view the exhibits. Had a wonderful day.

Clay is a lovely spot in the Gardiner Museum on the third floor. The food is amazing and the service is awesome. However, CLAY is not a place where you can linger for lunch. Why? Because the person who sat us, asked if we could move to the bar because they needed the table space. I was like, WHAT?!!
The host approached us and said, "We have limited table space unfortunately. So can I ask that you move to the bar as we have party of four that could use this table!" Not to make a scene, we moved but that's not cool.
Otherwise I love CLAY and its a lovely spot, if you want a quick lunch.

Love the setting, ample space between tables to allow for private conversations
