We had reservations to celebrate my parents' anniversary. We were seated at a very drafty area near exterior door. We were told there were no other tables for 4 people except one, but we'd only have an hour and a half because of another reservation. That table was vacant for nearly 2 hours. I'm still baffled about why those people couldn't have just been given our table if we weren't finished, but apparently they were more important than we were. We considered going elsewhere because it was very cold for all of us, but especially me as I'm dealing with neuropathy from cancer treatment, so being cold is very bad for me; however, being Valentine's weekend we didn't have a lot of choice. They said they'd close one of the doors to the area with the exterior door, but that made no difference.
Our server was knowledgeable and fairly attentive, though we did have to ask for more water as it was never offered.
The calamari was over-cooked and chewy, but had great flavor. The ceviche was excellent as were the scallops. The lobster empanadas, ham, cheese, potato salad and chicken were very good. The dates were fine. Tequila and wine selections are excellent and the cocktails are good.
This was our first time to Coa, but have been to the Drake many times for various occasions, including having our wedding there so this was an extremely disappointing experience. We ordered probably 10 tapas, several drinks, desserts, etc and spent over $500, but didn't feel valued as customers. We will not return to Coa.
