Christina and Mike Grant, the owners of Coastal Kitchen, have created an experience that will delight and satisfy the most discerning guest. Fueled by their passion for food and a love of hospitality, the Grants have established Coastal Kitchen as the go-to spot in Dana Point. The menu is clean and fresh consisting of fish and steaks cut in house, great salads, freshly ground burgers and more. Coastal Kitchen has a full bar, patio with fire pits, and fresh coastal design.

Our mission is to deliver a quality dining experience in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere with a consistency that will bring guests back again and again. We look forward to serving you.

    Our experience was overall excellent; however, the music was way too high. We couldn’t hear each other talk, we asked our waiter to see if she could turn it down, and she was able to make that happen. The overall experience was excellent!!

    The service was spot on. Delivering drinks BEFORE they are empty is a HUGE win. It rarely happens yet, running out of y drink is a pet peeve. Luckily, they didn’t happen tonight! We ordered the trout dip which is a fan favorite. The crab cake salad which I enjoy weekly. One member of our party enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup while the others enjoyed the ribs and chicken sandwich. Everyone loved the food d quality and flavor and left happy.

    Restaurant is very noisy when at nearly full inside capacity. Food was okay… had the crab cakes dinner entree. The last couple bites of my first crab cakes had a slight bleach chemical taste. That turned me off to eating the second crab cake. I have had that taste many times before at restaurants when eating shrimp or crab. It is I believe a type of preservative added to however they store the shellfish. At least that is an explanation another restaurant gave me once. Their jumbo shrimp cocktail appetizer was perfect.

    The food at Coastal Kitchen is always fabulous. Can't rave enough about the smoked trout dip! The service is also great. Fun way to spend a lunch on the patio or inside.
