Cognoscenti is a cosy neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar nestled in the Dandenong Ranges, 50 minutes from the CBD.

Dine with us and be treated to exquisite food and intimate service, while exploring our carefully curated selection of local and international wines. We are passionate about cooking with local, seasonal produce in our wood-fired oven; celebrating the simplicity of each ingredient.

    We can accomodate larger groups up to 12 guests. Our Chef’s Menu is required for all group 7+ guests. The menu offers a selection of entrées, main, sides and dessert for the table to share. Please advise of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking. Menu Sample: Wood-fired house made focaccia, Mt. Zero olive oil Mt.     We had a group celebration meal at lunch time and, as always, the cuisine was perfection. The wine and table service were also excellent, along with the warm welcome we have always experienced. I booked with confidence for our group, knowing everyone would enjoy a superb lunch, which they did. Merci à tous ❤️

    We had great food ,great service but when we went to pay we presented a gift voucher which paid for 70% of the bill but had to pay a surcharge over total amount. Surcharge was already paid on gift voucher for. Double dipping!!!!!!!!!!

    My wife and I had a truly wonderful evening meal at Cognascenti. We would highly recommend this as spot to dine in Belgrave.

    The food was absolutely amazing. We went for the set menu on valentines day and didn't disappointed! We will definitely be returning!

    Went on Thursday for steak night. Delicious steak, good chips and glass of red wine very good value. Service is always friendly and efficient at Cognoscenti. Highly recommended.

    This could be the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. Slightly on the pricier side but the food at service made it make sense. I gave them the heads up I was going to propose after my meal (she said yes) and they set out a special table for us to make the experience as good as possible. Incredible food and service, would and will come back again.
