Located directly across from the Turner Gallery, in the heart of Margate. Colina is a fish-forward restaurant, highlighting great local ingredients, with dishes inspired by the sun-kissed Mediterranean.

With daily specials written on the blackboard and a range of smaller and larger seasonal plates, Colina has you covered for a light bite and a glass of wine, or a selection of plates to share.

Join us for a drink in our beautiful basement bar for a pre (or post!) dinner drink from Wednesday to Sunday.

Christmas Day Lunch

Come and join us this Christmas Day for a festive feast with your loved ones. We have a four course menu available for £80 per person and are offering two seatings - an early at noon and second a little later around 2pm. Card details are needed to secure the booking. £30 per person will be taken in the event of a no show or a cancellation with less than 72 hours notice. Please see the Festive Dining section of our website to see the menu or email reception@fortroadhotel.com for more information.
New Year's Eve Dinner

Join us to toast the arrival of 2025 with our £85 per person set menu. Enjoy a feast of many courses with a glass of sparkling Vouvray on arrival. There are two seatings available, an early around 6pm and another later on at around 8pm. Please be advised that the restaurant needs to be vacated by 11pm. Those wishing to celebrate the strike of midnight with us are welcome to join us in the Fort Road Bar.

Ambience and location great but, after paying surplus for ‘Superior’ room, it was disappointing - very small TV, bathroom floor wet, no toilet seat lid etc., and the food was not cheap for what was served - only 1 piece of toast for the Avocado toast, watery porridge & eggs not fully cooked.

The room you stayed in is one of our most popular rooms, however does include some features that make it accessible for a variety of guests. I am sorry that you found those inconvenient. This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food choice was varied with lots of sharing options as well as larger dishes for the individual. There was also a good choice of drinks. Our waitress was also very friendly and attentive. The restaurant isn’t very big but that adds to the cosy ambience. Well worth a visit.

Such a delicious meal at Colina, well worth seeking out. Delicious and surprising food combinations in small or larger plates with a good wine and cocktail selection. Lovely meal.

A beautiful space has been created for diners in the Fort Road Hotel. Serving tapas style dishes, the menu is not extensive, but this means everything is of an excellent standard. Highly recommended

Poor service, bad body odour with the waiter. All small plates arrived together. No offer of dessert or coffee. Won’t be going back

It's about the 5th time this year and it has not disappointed. Good service, really good food and lovely ambience. It's a gem in Margate.
