Enjoy a homemade afternoon tea in the old Colson's store. Served between 12:00 - 4.30 pm each day. £29.95 or £34.95 with champagne. Full payment is required to confirm the booking, a member of the team will be in touch to arrange this.

Our food starts with our producers: We use only ethical, sustainable producers from as local an area as possible. We know the fishermen, the foragers and the farmers. We cook simply with care and love and never try too hard with our ingredients, letting them shine. We offer an A la Carte menu, that is continually changing, guided by the seasons

Very restricted menu for Valentine’s Day and even then not all items were available on it. Unable to do cocktails off the set menu. Poor service and attention especially considering how quiet it was.

A lovely hotel and restaurant decorated beautifully. The first two starters were unavailable. The air conditioning was so cold it was awful and couldn't really get away from it. Poor selection of red wines. Food was good and very tasty apart from the dessert which was horrific. Sticky toffee pudding was cold inside and hard. I would go as far as to say it was gone off! Staff were friendly but just seemed to be new starters and didn't really have a clue. We did eat very early so the ambience was dead but more people had been sitted when we were leaving so couldn't be helped. I would be happy to go again but would probably choose to eat somewhere else in Exeter next time.

Food was alright, nothing special, my burger was quite dry. There was a large party nearby so it was quite noisy. I have to say though the service was amazing. Some of the best restaurant service I have ever experienced.

Good food but could have been warmer. Very few staff in restaurant so in the end we gave up on desserts! Had to ask for our wine to be sent over even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy.

Excellent meal although there were a few items not available from the menu. A bit drafty from the automatic entrance doors

I have never experienced such awful service at a hotel. We waited for ages to be offered drinks. The food was okay nothing to rave about. The service is awful it ruined my friends 60th birthday celebration. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
