COMMUNION is a place where you feel seen. A place that feels like comfort, rest, relief, and peace. Our mission is to provide the food, the familiarity, and the intimacy that make you feel at home.

Chef Kristi Brown has spooned her way through the culinary industry for the past 28 years. Starting at a small café in downtown Seattle, Kristi has done just about everything from dishwasher/prep cook to running her own catering business for nearly a decade. From the beginning, her vision was to focus on the art and experience of food through culinary activism. A purpose powered by her mantra, “Everybody’s Gotta Eat!” Chef Kristi desires to build community through the cultivation of fresh food and fine cooking.

Friendly but had to give three stars. Called prior to reservation to ask if patio was covered and told yes. Came all the way from atlanta to find out otherwise and was told yes it’s covered but not enclosed. No way to change the reservation so ended up sitting in the cold with a fire pit and heaters but wasn’t enough and too uncomfortable to enjoy. Food was good but chicken came out undercooked. When addressed was told thats how it is because it’s farm raised and some other lie. Clearly the meat and bones were a bit bloody so no one ate any more.

The food? Outstanding. Service overall could be better. We had reservations but when we arrived had to wait in line with others on the wait list, even though our table was ready. That made absolutely no sense. The table was on the patio and I asked the host if there might be a table inside. I was told no- okay, I can accept that. Except that inside tables sat open for entirety of our visit. So we had to wait to sit on an open patio (while tables were available inside) even though we had reservations. Our server was awesome, except that one table on the patio was easy to forget which happened a few times. But, the food. Everything you might have read about and then some. Wonderful flavors and the quality was superb. None one dish was anything less than awesome. So we’ll definitely be back, but we’ll have to figure out the seating options better next time.

Great food (though a bit on the salty side). We had reservations but still took 25 minutes to be seated. Then we felt rushed during the meal. Inside was uncomfortably noisy.
