Love going to Contessa but last night the service was off because it was to busy so the server was not on point . The bus boy was very helpful beside that as always the food is amazing

The menu was higher than advertised. The value was ok for the price. The drinks were extremely high.The server rushed us through each course. Don't make a reservation past 8:30.

We arrived 45 minutes early and we’re asked to wait for a table that stood ready. Once the time had passed, they offered us the same table regretfully this brings down the experience tremendously specific the front staff not being able to manage such a situation. I was survey was very good and that balanced out the event somewhat and the food was excellent. The raw tuna, the wild boar pasta and the steaks tasted fantastic. Well done to the chef. We spent $700 for four people which is far too much and therefore will probably prevent us from coming back. Good luck.

Awesome location in design district. We had a late dinner around 9:30pm and it was perfect

Service was very poor. I reserved a table outside, I arrived on time but had to wait for 40 minutes. They offered a table inside but it was very noisy.

The service was lacking for this type of restaurant. After waiting 20 minutes they informed us that they did not have Bloody Mary's! Did not offer an alternative . Just walked away. My martini was served in a champagne glass- when they brought my husbands drink, the lady put it down without even looking. No napkin or any type of comment. We also waited over 16 minutes for the gin and tonic. If you want to charge high prices then provide service to that level. Tired of these restaurants that think nice furniture is what is all about. Get back to basics. Service is what people remember. Will not go back there are plenty of restaurants with good food in this town.

Great experience. Food and atmosphere were fantastic. Had a bit of an issues with rude customers at the bar but when were seated at our table the experience was seamless.

We had high hopes for this restaurant, as the decor is lovely and the hostesses were wonderful. Additionally, the comments seemed positive, which made us want to try it. However, the service was horrible and the food overpriced. We sat at our table for at least 15 minutes, with a waitress walking past us multiple times. We had to ask someone else who was helping with water and bussing the tables if they knew who had our table. He took our drink order, finally filled our water glasses and seemed to be a server. However, it was another 10 minutes before our server, Maritza, came to take our order. Although she was pleasant, it seemed as if we were a forgotten table that wasn’t assigned or we came in between shifts. Why the waitress who was taking care of all the other tables around us, did not come over was a mystery. Maritza didn’t come back to check on us and only came back when we finished our meal. She did not acknowledge our anniversary, which had been discussed with the hostess. Our meal consisting of a pasta dish, pizza, a salad, meatballs, two drinks and the 20% tip they tack on, was quite pricey at almost $200.00, considering their portions. Certainly, it would be worth it if the portions and service matched the price. We wondered if seating inside vs outside would make a difference. But, clearly the other server who ignored us was attending to tables so, it seems that there is a lack of teamwork and/or training of the staff. As much as we want to recommend Contessa, we cannot. We gave it 3 stars because the food was tasty and the chef and cooking staff should not suffer for what happens at the server side. It really deserved less.
