With our Newtown original well-established as a local favourite, we now bring the Continental Deli to the city.
Founded by Elvis Abrahanowicz and Joe Valore of Porteño, and Jesse Warkentin and Michael Nicolian (of Bodega and Gardel’s Bar).

Continental is the realised passion for a neighbourhood deli. Bring your basket to purchase your specialty deli essentials, be it charcuterie for your next days sandwich, fromage for a friend, or all the elements for a perfect picnic. We have sourced what we consider the most interesting, rare and delicious cheeses and charcuterie as well as an impressive range of tinned delicacies; anchovies from the Bay of Biscay, clams and cockles from Galicia, sardines from France. We are however most proud of the items we have canned ourselves from incredible local produce.

You can expect to see many of our most popular dishes, our in house tinned seafood, our famous tinned cocktails as well many new dishes to try.

The food is good but little for the money. Newtown Deli I prefer when it comes to food. The venue in the city is great and Service was very good Doris

Thoroughly enjoyed the favourites - Gilda’s excellent, tartare - always great & casarecce pasta a standout. Service very friendly and warm.

Incredible service from bar to table! Absolutely loved the cocktail and rose we selected. Anchovies, prawns and the frites were a standout! Will be back again soon!

Great ambience and great looking. A busy, young-ish, professional lunch time crowd. Menu for main dishes is brief, though with many sharing options. Food is good but a bit overpriced - the interior ambience makes up for it. Service is efficient and unobtrusive.

Great place near Martin Place for lunch, the 'French Dip' is one of the best sandwiches in Sydney and worth the trip alone.

Not as good as the Newtown Continental. Staff not as attentive, no bloody Mary's available and staff were poorly trained. The food was good, there is more space than the Newtown continental which is good but really loses the ambiance.

There were 3 of us and we share mostly entree's and 2 pasta. The scallop and prawn entrees were excellent as was the stake tatare and the mushroom dish. The paste was delightful and the wine was lovely. That staff are superb. What can I say, we enjoyed it!

If I could give more stars for this venue I would. Great service, fabulous food, couldn’t be more helpful as I added to the booking at the last minute and also accommodated some special food needs
