Specializing in elegant but straight-forward Northern Italian cuisine, created from local and seasonal ingredients.

A family-owned business, Cook St. Helena, is a neighborhood establishment through and through that continues to bring people together around fresh, handmade, delicious food in a warm, casual atmosphere. We opened Cook in 2004 to show the locals and tourists alike that food does not need to be complicated to taste great!

                                                          I loved the style of the restaurant, small but upscale. Michael was a fabulous server! We had so much fun talking to him about the area St. Helena, he made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The food was wonderful, 4 of us shared Calamari, and 2 each had Fazzoletti Bolognese and 2 had Risotto with Halibut and Clams, both were wonderful. I was surprised by the price of the Risotto, but we should have asked! I would highly recommend this local hidden gem.

                                                          Excellent chicken dish and the halibut (special menu item) was terrific. Very fresh tasting and seasoning was perfect. Nice experience.

                                                          Great food and server recommendations. Small restaurant but no waiting required despite being pretty full. Nice ambience.

                                                          Food quality and quantity was over the top great. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and friendly service staff. This is a local gem, worth visiting often. This locally owned and operated businesses serves a an example of what hard work can accomplish. Love it.
