Disappointing Experience - Would Not Recommend
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but the experience was beyond disappointing. Here’s a breakdown:
1.Unresponsive Phone Service
Before visiting, I tried calling the restaurant at least 20 times during non-busy hours. No one answered. This was frustrating and should have been the first red flag.
2.Poor Service
Despite having a reservation for a family of four, the service was absolutely chaotic and unorganized. I had read negative reviews about their service beforehand, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake.
3.Unacceptable Wait Times
•I waited around 40 minutes just to get pineapples.
•Several meats we were expecting didn’t come to our table at all or arrived extremely late. For example, the meat with gooey cheese went to the table behind us three times before I had to ask repeatedly for it to be served to us.
•The spinach dip was served after we finished our dinner, and it didn’t even have a proper depth with it.
•The appetizers (like salads) were small and arrived late, leaving us with little to start with.
4.Tiny Plates
The plates for appetizers and salads were incredibly small, which made it difficult to enjoy the starters properly.
5.Gratuity Issues
An 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which was unreasonable given the poor service. I paid it because it was Christmas Eve, but this left a bad impression—especially since I wouldn’t have voluntarily tipped that amount based on the service provided.
6.Overall Lack of Organization
The restaurant seems severely understaffed and poorly managed. We had to keep asking for items, which made the entire meal feel frustrating rather than enjoyable.
Conclusion:
I will not be returning to the Toronto location. The service was abysmal, the food was delayed, and the overall experience was not worth the time or money. Save yourself the disappointment.
